Improv Marathon featuring Doppelganger!, Onesie, and Date Night: Getting To Know The Couple
Sat, Jan 20 at 9:30pm
In a world where rock was king, the drugs were free, and the women were easy; two men formed from fire and brimstone a band that would transcend time and space: "DOPPELGANGER!" Now that Clive Neilsen (Lee Lewis - Moral Fixation) and Johnny Dregg (Jason Cooper - Playlist, Weird Science), have fallen on hard times they are bringing their "hits" to their most rabid fans...the patrons of Charleston Comedy Festival!!!
Charleston's only all improvised rock show, where you, the audience, shout out the "titles" of your favorite Doppelganger! songs, and have them performed for the first and last time ever. The Critics say: "Lee Lewis and Jason Cooper are so good at what they do that the lines between fact and fiction may blur a bit during the show." - Jason Zwicker "It's a mix of VH1 Storytellers and Tenacious D" - Charleston City Paper
Onesie consists of Brooklyn based improvisers Lauren Christianson and Rachel McKay Steele who met while studying at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater. They love to go dancing and eat McDonalds chicken nuggets, though Rachel recently introduced Lauren to salads. What can you expect from a Onesie show, you ask? Gosh, if we knew it wouldn't be improv! (You can expect high-energy, silliness.)
DATE NIGHT: GETTING TO KNOW THE COUPLE
We improvise your relationship!
It's the most fun you'll ever have on date night!
One lucky couple will see their love unfold on stage through the interpretation of The Pusher's Brad McMurran and Alba Woolard, Norfolk, Virginia's two wildest improvisers!
The couple will be selected at random and interviewed on stage in front of the audience. Using the information they learn, and their imagination, Brad and Alba will show the story of the couple's love.
